We looked at Koru patterns in picture books and in kowhaiwhai patterns. We then practiced drawing korus ourselves.
We visited the art gallery and learnt about a variety of Māori symbols and then we created an artwork by overlapping cut out symbols with straight, jagged and curved lines.
